I walked this neighborhood every morning on the way to work for 10 years. It’s a beautiful part of San Francisco called Telegraph Hill. There’s a pandemonium of parrots (that was so satisfying to write) that live at the top of this hill. They’re called, appropriately enough, the parrots of Telegraph Hill. They’re the stars of more than one documentary and they tour the city daily – flying over our apartment around sunset almost every dusk.
